WHEN TO VISIT KENYA
When to Visit Kenya?
Kenya is great to visit all year round, thanks to its varied climate and seasons. Each period offers unique advantages.
Dry Season (June–October, December–March):
This is the best time for wildlife viewing as animals gather near water sources, making them easier to spot. September and October are peak months for the famous wildebeest migration in the Masai Mara. Expect pleasant temperatures (25–27°C), clear skies, fewer mosquitoes, and better road conditions for game drives.
Wet Season (April–May and November):
Though wetter, these months bring lush green landscapes, blooming flowers, and excellent birdwatching. Wildlife is healthy, and fewer tourists visit, so safaris feel more private. Prices are generally lower, but some roads may be muddy.
Tourist Seasons:
Low season: April and May, with the best rates but more rain.
Mid-season: November to December and March, fewer visitors and moderate prices.
High season: June to October, plus December to February, with peak prices and busiest parks.
No matter when you visit, Kenya offers memorable safari experiences year-round.
