Itinerary
As you arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your dedicated Majestic Mara's guide with a cheerful “Karibu Kenya – welcome to Kenya!” From there, you’ll be driven straight to your hotel in Nairobi, where you can unwind and soak in the vibrant energy of the city. The following day, your private safari begins—designed entirely around your pace. With your own safari vehicle and guide, you’re free to explore the wild at your leisure, stopping whenever and wherever you like to fully enjoy each wildlife encounter.
Lake Nakuru National Park is a remarkable wildlife sanctuary nestled in the heart of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley.
At its center lies the picturesque Lake Nakuru, known for attracting a dazzling variety of birdlife to its shores. Once famous for its massive flamingo population, the park saw a decline due to rising water levels—but the good news is, these iconic pink birds are slowly making a comeback. Beyond the birdlife, the park offers the chance to see both black and white rhinos, graceful giraffes, buffalo herds, lions, the occasional elusive leopard, and more than 400 recorded bird species, making it a top destination for both birdwatchers and safari lovers.
No game drives are planned today, but it’s still a memorable journey as you travel to the renowned Masai Mara National Reserve—the highlight of your adventure! Experience a mix of smooth highways and winding roads while soaking in breathtaking landscapes unique to this region. Since much of the day is spent on the road, you’ll stay overnight in comfortable accommodation just outside the park, ensuring you’re well-rested and ready to explore the Mara’s incredible wonders the following day.
The Masai Mara National Reserve stands as one of the most celebrated safari destinations globally. Situated about 270 kilometers west of Nairobi, it ranks among Africa’s largest game reserves, covering over 1,500 square kilometers. Home to more than 400 bird species and around 95 different mammals, it’s a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts. The reserve is renowned for frequent sightings of big cats and is famously the best place to witness the spectacular Great Migration from August to October, when vast herds of wildebeests and zebras make their dramatic crossing of the Mara River.
It’s your final day, and sadly, it’s time to head back to Nairobi to catch your flight from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Feeling reluctant to leave? Don’t worry—we can easily extend your adventure with extra safari days or relaxing time on Kenya’s breathtaking coastal beaches!
