8-Day Kenya Adventure Safari

After breakfast at your Nairobi hotel, you'll be picked up to begin your journey to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Traveling through the scenic Great Rift Valley, you’ll arrive at this vast reserve, which forms part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem. The Masai Mara is famous for its breathtaking annual wildebeest migration and is home to the iconic Big Five—lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino.

Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy lunch at your camp and have some time to relax. Later, you will head out on an afternoon game drive, where you can spot a variety of wildlife including Masai giraffes, elands, buffalos, and numerous plains animals like impalas, zebras, topi, as well as Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles.

After an early breakfast at 6:30 am, you will set off for a full-day game drive, equipped with a packed lunch to enjoy in the wild. The adventure continues as you explore the vast plains, where large herds of herbivores graze peacefully and elusive predators like cheetahs and leopards lurk in their preferred spots. The Masai Mara National Reserve is often celebrated as Kenya’s premier wildlife sanctuary, boasting an impressive diversity of over 95 species of mammals, amphibians, and reptiles, alongside more than 400 bird species. Wildlife here is so abundant that spotting the Big Five is almost guaranteed. During the day, you’ll stop for lunch at a scenic picnic site near the Mara River—a perfect vantage point to witness animals crossing the river during their great migration.

After a day full of unforgettable sightings, you’ll head back to camp where dinner awaits, followed by a restful overnight stay.

The day begins with an early morning game drive until around 9:30 am, offering the chance to observe animals in action during their hunt. After this exciting start, you'll return to the hotel for a hearty breakfast.

Next, you'll visit a traditional Maasai village to experience and learn about the vibrant culture and customs of the Maasai people. Following this cultural visit, the journey continues back toward Nairobi with a lunch stop in Narok.

In the late afternoon, you'll arrive at Lake Naivasha, where you’ll embark on a serene boat trip across the lake. During this peaceful cruise, you'll have the opportunity to spot a variety of bird species and aquatic animals such as hippos—perfect moments to capture with your camera!

Start your day with an early morning game drive at Hell’s Gate National Park, unique in Kenya for offering the rare chance to explore on foot or by bicycle while spotting wildlife up close. After this adventurous morning, return to your hotel for a refreshing breakfast.

Following breakfast, set off toward Lake Nakuru National Park, enjoying a game drive along the way. This route provides a good opportunity to spot elusive leopards, which are often seen in the park. Arrive in time for lunch before heading out again for an afternoon game drive.

Spend the afternoon exploring Lake Nakuru, famous not only for its stunning flocks of flamingos but also as a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos. The park’s diverse birdlife adds to the rich wildlife experience, making this a truly memorable visit.

After breakfast, depart Nairobi and enjoy a hot lunch en route before heading to Amboseli National Park. Arrive late in the evening at this renowned park, famed for its stunning views of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro towering over vast open plains. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at Kimana Amboseli Tented Camp.
